All hackathon participants are subject to the following rules:
1.    The General Terms and Conditions and the Code of Conduct apply at all times.
2.    All projects must use at least one IBM Watson Developer Cloud or AlchemyAPI service as a component of its functionality.
3.    Team size consists of 1-5 participants.
4.    Team make-up can include any combination of participants (developers, UX/UI designers, data scientists, etc.).
5.    All hackathon projects to be entered into competition are to be started at the beginning of the event. No existing projects, applications, or business ventures may be entered.
6.    All projects (entries) must be submitted by the close of coding. Once closed, no projects can be entered for presentation or judging.
7.    Decisions of the judges are final and may not be appealed.
8.    Prizes will be distributed evenly amongst each winning “team member” identified as a team member on the project submission, prior to the team’s project presentation.
9.    Each contestant represents and warrants that her/his programming activities during the Hackathon and any code or hardware s/he incorporates or modifies in any project developed during the Hackathon will not infringe the intellectual property or other proprietary rights of any third party.
10.    Employees, officers and directors of IBM, NUI Central – ScreenPlay InterActive, George P. Johnson, the judge’s employers, participating advertising and promotion agencies, and those individuals and entities involved in the preparation of materials for, administration and/or execution of this Hackathon (the "Hackathon Parties"), are not eligible to participate in the Hackathon.
